About

I started my career at the renowned design studio C&G Partners, founded by AIGA Medalists Ivan Chermayeff, Tom Geismar, and Steff Geissbuhler. It was a dream job where I worked alongside legends who had designed some of the most iconic brand identities—NBC, MoMA, Time Warner, Chase, and Mobil, to name a few. During my time there, I worked on brand identities, exhibits, and interaction design projects for clients ranging from non-profits and cultural institutions to large investment banks. This gave me a deep understanding of how design shapes diverse industries and experience working with clients of varying resources and taste.

I later joined the global design agency Siegel+Gale, where I worked on projects at a much larger scale for global brands such as American Express, HP, and SAP. After more than 10 years in agency life, I decided to take a different path, spending a brief stint at a product design startup called Quirky, which ultimately folded. Around that time, an unexpected opportunity came knocking from a little-known tech startup called Datadog. At the time, I hadn't heard of Datadog and didn't fully understand what it did, but I saw this as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and do something truly different. It was my chance to make a mark.

This move gave me the opportunity to build a brand from the inside out, take full ownership of its development, and nurture it as it grew. Long story short, it turned out to be the opportunity of a lifetime. I can't say I was fully prepared for what I threw myself into, but it pushed me to grow both as a designer and as a person faster than any traditional agency role ever could. And I've never looked back.

But who am I really? I'm a Korean-American immigrant who grew up in the rough neighborhoods of Queens, NY, pulling myself up and pushing through every challenge with grit and determination. And as a lifelong fan of the Mets, Jets, and Nets, I've learned how to deal with adversity! When I'm not working, I like to play golf and basketball, though I enjoy watching almost any sport. I'm also a poker player and not afraid to take calculated risks. I believe in making the most of the hand you're dealt and being okay with whatever the outcome, as long as you gave it your all.

I currently live in New Jersey with my family and am a proud Girl Dad to three beautiful daughters. Hi Girls!
